Website Security Surveillance System (SSS)

Since 2006, Security Surveillance System has specialized in commercial security cameras, wireless surveillance, access control systems, intercoms, and burglar alarms. We are currently seeking a senior-level, highly experienced Access Control Technician to join our growing team.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can independently manage access control projects from start to finish, maintain high technical standards, and deliver excellent customer service.

Technician Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and upgrade access control and intercom systems in residential and commercial environments
  • Manage installations from start to finish, including system programming, testing, and commissioning
  • Program and test access control systems to ensure proper functionality and reliability
  • Provide customer training on system use and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement customized access control solutions
  • Operate company vehicles and jobsite equipment (scissor lift, boom lift, etc.)
  • Deliver flawless service and professional workmanship on every project

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with access control and intercom systems
  • Experience with 2N intercom systems strongly preferred
  • Experience with Brivo and ICT access control systems is highly preferred
  • Proven ability to complete installations independently from start to finish, including programming
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Physically capable of:
  • Carrying a 20-ft ladder
  • Lifting up to 35 lbs
  • Operating scissor lifts and boom lifts
  • Experience with IP-based camera systems and burglar alarm systems (preferred)
  • Networking experience configuring:
  • Routers, switches, modems
  • Wireless access points
  • Network switches and NVRs (preferred)
  • Experience installing, servicing, and upgrading DVR/NVR hardware, software, and firmware (preferred)
